It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adam Jesse “Coco” Gutierrez Flores, 61, of Liberal. He passed away at 8:07 pm on Sunday September 29, 2024 along with his wife Deanna Marie (Thompson) Flores. Adam, was known as “Coco” and had lived in Liberal for over 30 years, he was well-known within the community.

He was born December 28,1962 in Lubbock TX to Ricardo and Guadalupe (Gutierrez) Flores. He married Deanna on January 10, 2011. Coco loved his wife with all his heart and would do anything for her.

Coco was known as the best cook. He loved to joke around especially with family and friends. He adore his wife, pets and enjoyed spending every minute with his family. Coco always went above and beyond for the ones he loved and others around him. Never knowing a stranger, he was instantly friends with everyone he knew.

“No matter where you go, you will always be in our hearts.”

He is survived by his sister-in-law (aka mom) Eva Zepeda, brothers, Santos Flores, Juan (Cheryl) Flores, Raymond Flores, Alexander Flores, and Jose (Becky)Zepeda. Sisters, Juanita (Jose) Betancourt, Susan Valdez and Irma (Scott) May. He had 15 nephews,5 Nieces, and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Trinidad Zepeda and Robert Flores.

There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.

A Family Held Memorial Service will be on Friday October 11, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the La Primera Bautista Hispania Church located at 122 Wilson St, Liberal, KS 67901.
